Strange Things About Carrie Underwood And Mike Fisher's Marriage

According to Taste of Country, Carrie Underwood "doesn't record a lot of love songs," and we think we know why. In real life, Underwood can attest to not being very romantic. When speaking about her 2015 hit song "Heartbeat" from her Storyteller album, she told E! News the "fairy tales and bubblegum and butterflies" that go along with love songs were not part of her "reality." She added, "I don't do romance very well, at least not in my music."

She also shared that her best moments with her husband, Mike Fisher, are when they can be alone and enjoy each other's company. "It doesn't have to be all presents and Romeo and Juliet," she said. "It can be simple and lovely."

No big deal, right? Well, the recording artist elaborated to People magazine (via CMT News) about the type of romance she loves the most, and that's when things got really weird. "I'm the kind of person that's like, 'Aw, you changed the light bulb in the bathroom. Thank you.' Or 'You took the trash out. Aw. Oh, my gosh, you emptied the dishwasher, yay! I don't have to do it now,'" she said.

Nothing says "I love you" like a husband doing some household chores...in Underwood's crazy world, at least.
